The advantages of installation
When you install WordPress locally, that is, on Windows, the site is collected by the hard drive of the computer. The site is, therefore, no longer on a remote server. This creates an offline site that, once ready, can be transferred to a server. By then having a copy of the site on a computer, it can be controlled via a hard drive.

Establishment of MAMP and creation of a database
The first step in installing WordPress on Windows is to create an environment or a local server called localhost. This is possible using WAMP model specific software. There are several types, including MAMP, XAMPP or WampServer. Thus, it is necessary to proceed with the installation of the MAMP software on the computer after downloading it. Then, you have to put MAMP in motion and choose « Start the servers » by clicking on it. If the servers start correctly, the MAMP home page will open in a browser.
After that, it is necessary to design a database where all the elements of the site will be kept. To do this, click on PHPMyAdmin and on the « Database » tab in the top banner. This database must be named in the « Database name » space then press « Create ».
Installing WordPress on the computer
At this stage, the first action to take is to download the latest version of WordPress from the WordPress.org site. The second action is to choose for WordPress, its original format and put it in the « htdocs » folder of the MAMP application. Next, go to « http: // localhost: 8888 » in the web browser and you will see the WordPress installation page open with the language page. After selecting it, click on « Continue » then on « Here we go! « A list of options then appears with fields to complete. The third action is to correctly fill in the name previously assigned to the database.
For the username and password, just write « root ». You must then click on « Send » then « Start the installation ». A page will appear and information relating to the administration of the site (site title, username, password, etc.) must be entered. The fourth and final action is to click on “Install WordPress”. A few seconds later, a window will appear on the screen to validate the installation of WordPress. From then on, it is possible to connect with the username and password previously retained.
