Installing WordPress on the computer

The second action is to choose for WordPress, its original format and put it in the « htdocs » folder of the MAMP application. Next, go to « http: // localhost: 8888 » in the web browser and you will see the WordPress installation page open with the language page. After selecting it, click on « Continue » then on « Here we go! « A list of options then appears with fields to complete. The third action is to correctly fill in the name previously assigned to the database.

For the username and password, just write « root ». You must then click on « Send » then « Start the installation ». A page will appear and information relating to the administration of the site (site title, username, password, etc.) must be entered. The fourth and final action is to click on “Install WordPress”. A few seconds later, a window will appear on the screen to validate the installation of WordPress. From then on, it is possible to connect with the username and password previously retained.
